There's old Obama yakking about the economy again
« on: July 08, 2009, 01:32:01 AM »
Another day, another stimulus, and a lot of nonsense about how they're still trying to project blame back to Bush.

They open their mouths and the DOW drops almost 1,000 points. Expect another bad day today as the Nikkei dropped over 200 points, usually a bellweather of our own markets.

Ho hum. All in a day's work I suppose.

Some day, a lot of people are going to realize that Obama is costing them a lot of money.

I expect the clueless one to try to stimulate us into oblivion, but let us not forget that he can't spend diddly without Congress.  The Spendocrates have lost any sense of fiscal responsiblity ... we're screwed.

... And congress is elected by the people.  We can thank ourselves for not dealing w/ this BS way before now...  :-\
I'm voting 3rd party in this election by writing in Jesus Christ for president.  Sadly even if this were an option most of you would still vote Republican because "It's a two party system."

SingleShotSam:

I think that's the heart of it. We have a society where a lot of people are on the dole in one form or another, and a lot of people are not paying taxes. Both these numbers are increasing. I believe that the Republicans are in a position to go along enthusiastically with this nonsense because it ultimately changes the entire universe of political discourse in this country, thus allowing them to re-define their platform to account for this new demographic.

i think it was a couple of months ago they were talking about how well the stimulus was working and now they say it's not working. is this like ''they were for it before they were against it?''

By saying it isn't working( most of us knew that from the start) they can push for a second plan and since a large number of those that support it don't pay any taxes in the first place it will pass.
