Bipod use on Bullberry Hanger Forearm?
« on: July 08, 2009, 04:26:29 AM »
Gents...my encore forearm is the bullberry hanger bar system. Since the barrel is basically free floating...will mounting a bipod on the front swivel stud have an impact on accuracy or zero? I could go to the range to test  but I am short on time.
Thanks so much......

I use the Bullberry hanger on most of my Contender carbine barrels with a couple different forearms that were bedded to the Bullberry hangers. With the Rynite forearms, the barrels are floated by probably .025 or so. Both have QD swivel studs and I've used a harris bipod and sling on these, as opposed to nothing on the forearm when shooting from the bench. Using a gentle hold, I don't get a change in POI, maybe better said is that the bipod shoots the same place a bare forearm in sandbags shoots. Bear down hard or use a tight sling and I get a definate change in POI, just a you will with inconsisant bench technique. If your hanger is bedded to your forearm, you shouldn't have a problem but I'd sure shoot it to confirm.
Keep your plow share and your sword - know how and when to use them.
