New Offerings From Winchester???
« on: September 24, 2003, 01:33:39 PM »
I have been told that the latest issue of Guns & Ammo has an article in which states that Winchester will be releasing their next two cartridges in their WSM line.  They will be the .338 WSM and the .257 WSM.  If this is true then I can see that there will be a WSM in my near future.  I love the "Quarter Bore" caliber so if I can find a .257 WSM that has a blued barreled action, box magazine(no clip magazines for me), a 24" barrel(26" would be even better) and a real wood stock(walnut preferred - no laminates or plastic(synthetic)) then one would end up following me home.  Has anybody seen the latest issue of Guns & Ammo and can confirm this?  Lawdog

I haven't seen the article yet, but let me tell you that, although the .25-06 is a great cartridge, I too might be swayed to get a 257WSM just for the fun of it.
