WHAT"S YOUR FAVORITE LURE?
« on: July 08, 2009, 06:29:13 PM »
Being a supply dealer and a beaver lure maker,I like to keep up on what the other guys favorite lures are. What do you guys use and for what animals?
It should be no surprise to anyone, that my Moundmaster beaver lures are all that are in my packbasket ,when trapping beavers.
Other ones I like are Asa's Muskrat--I use it for coon and Blackies Sledge Hammer--also for coon.

Tom
What few beavers I go after are lured in with one of your two Mound Master lures or blind set. I blind set most rats, but when I use lure for muskrats I use Dobbins Muskrat #1. My main coyote lure is O Gormans, Gumbo backed up with Dobbins K-9 Select and Lennons Coyote All Call. For the few fox we have left my go to lure would be Lennons Fox All Call. My main lure for coon is Carmens #1 Coon with marshmellows and gummy bears for bait. I use dabs of all my brands of lures when first setting up bait stations for bear hunting.
I also have and assortment of different lures that I use as mix in, for change up and I'm always testing.
Got to look for the silver bullet you know.

I used to go through a lot of different lure, but for the last 4 or 5 years I have been making my own. I really enjoy making them during the off months ( no such thing for ADC trappers) and its great when you connect on an animal with your own baits and lures. Worm
