Anybody watching??
« on: July 11, 2009, 03:03:43 PM »
Anyone here watching UFC 100 tonight?
There are some pretty good fights lined up.
Any predictions on who is going to win any of the fights?
My picks are Frank Mir for heavyweight, George St.Pierre for welterweight, and Dan Henderson for middleweight.
I don't have any real picks for the undercard fights but I'd like to see Bonnar win over Coleman.

Mir is a better fighter at this stage of the game, but I am not sure 1 month is enough time to get over his knee injury. I believe Brock might take advantage of that, if he can figure out how to do so quickly. George St. Pierre is a great athlete.

History now!.........Lesnar kicked Mir's rear good (KO) 2 rds
Bispin lost to Henderson. (KO)

GSP won by unanimous decision over the pitbull Thiago A.

Brock whooped Mir pretty bad, he seemed to not like the smack Frank was talking before the fight. But the worst whipping was had by big mouth Bisbing at the hands of Dan Henderson, the punch when Bisbing was down was just brutal.

That knockout of Bisbing was pretty nasty, I don't think he even knew what hit him.
I was hoping Mir would pull off the win again but big Brock hammered his face bad :o

I thought GSP was gonna have his hands full with Alves but he made it look kind of easy :-\

One thing's for sure... Bisbing and Mir are gonna be feeling it in the morning ;)

There didn't seem to be any close calls.  Mir got thumped.  Bisbing is lucky he's not in a coma, and GSP dominated, again.  Glad to read the others are following the UFC too...

Lesnar has the killer instinct and  is so big, fast and powerful, he will be hard to beat.

I think the only one that has a chance would be the Russian....... Emillianko (I know I misspelled his name.

I'd love to see a Fedor Lesnar match. It may be in the works Fedor fights hislast fight of his current contract on August in California I believe.

If you guys don't start warning me via the subject line these things are about "sports" or ball games or whatever I'm gonna start deleting them when I look to see what it's about and find it's about something generically called "sports".  :o

In case ya didn't get the message I HATE SPORTS as defined by the masses these days. If it goes round and round a track or involves a ball of any description I don't like it. I don't mind ya'll talking about here just make sure the subject line lets me know not to open it.  ::)

Sports?  I understant Lesnar acted a darn fool afterwards, his actions are really a great influence for the younger folks watching.......he should be banned from ever performing again.

It's all part of the show, the audience was qued to boo him. No one watching the PPV booed, why would it be any different at the live event? I myself loved it. Anyone who has the mindset to be a champion MMA fighter is going to be like Lesnar, you have to be a little crazy and have some high testosterone to do what these guys do for a living.

Remember Lesnar's background/previous profession, showmanship is a big part of that.

A little crazy & high testosterone, yes that's what I tell my middle son, he is training in Vegas now, heavyweight division. He has 2 years college under his belt, I am urging him to finish that.
