Well, as stated in the past, I normally use 3 - 4 - 5 molds at one time, but only with one casting pot.
I normally drop the bullets directly into a 5 gal. bucket of water in which I have an old bath towel semi-floating. The towel cushions the bullets enough that they don't dent each other as happens without the towel.
I make no attempt at keeping the different bullets separated at that point, doing that during the culling process.
I find that with the bottom pour ladle, and a large pot on the top of my years old Colman, I can get and maintain a good rate of production, pausing only to keep the pot fluxed.
When I get to the point of needing to add a lot of metal to the pot, I am probably about done for that session anyway.
However, the pot is large enough that I can slip in a fresh chunk of lead - about 2 1/2lbs - and have little if any slow down in production - that is providing I don't allow the pot to get too low in which case the fresh lead saps too much heat out of the remaining metal.
Works for me.
Keep em coming!
