Hello...
Found one at a flea market for $25. Been shooting it religiously, but it has one problem. It had a rest intalled which is not stock: a Flipper Rest II. I had new string made custom for the bow, and I was ready to go.
But the bow throws the shots off to the right. I have to intentionally lean to the left, and pull the bow down to get the shots to group in the center, and often groups are off to the right.
Now, my question: would it be worth it to have the bow shop take the Flipper Rest off and restore the bow in it's original configuration, using what I believe would be a padded shelf rest (as I can see remnants of the original glue)? Or, should I just leave it the way it is, and compensate for shots that get thrown off to the right? Do you think the Flipper Rest is the problem? Oh, I am using Beman Classics wood-look alike 400 arrows. They work super in my Martin, but thrown to the right is the problem with the Shakespeare.
Asking for opinions here...
Thanks,
Gary
