Hey Davemuzz...
Hey  Wyo. Coyote Hunter...

Davemuzz......thanks for the advise, It's not a real big problem for us because when we miss we use the philosophy of " catch and release" ......he'll be back out later.  And now I have to ask ........How Many hog's did you miss in July? ( I did'nt ask how many this year)

Wyo. Coyote Hunter....Do you remember the name of the gunshop in Emporium?..any street name? I have a camp up in that area and it could be a good ride on a rainy day.

Thanks guys

JLR

;) Jeff, I am not sure of the name. I can look though the business cards I have it may be there, but I am not sure. ;) It should be easy to locate. I was headed south and sort of out of town as I remeber. It was right at the road. It was my kind of shop. He had some used stuff, and lots of long range rifles. If I ;) locate that card I will get you more info.

Well....let's just say, if you don't count the same 'hog twice  ;D, you could count 'em on one hand. Now, if you count the same 'hog (you know....I shot at the same 'hog on different days....but that 'hog is still living....a bit shakey, but still livin!!!) then your into two hands!!!

;) Jeff, I found the card, the gunshop is Ryteck, Inc. on the Sizerville Rd. It was a neat shop, and the man in the store that day was very pleasant to visit with. :D ;)

Wyo. Coyote Hunter,

Thank you very much for the info on the gun shop.

I was up to camp over the weekend and thought about just riding up and asking someone where a gun shop was at, but went trout fishing instead.

Thanks again.

Use to live in Shinglehouse till i was 8. Parents moved to Erie. Have lived in the lousy state of NY for the last 50 years. I was born in the Mountain Clinic in Olean. Anyone ever heard of that. I think it has been gone for years now.

32, How is the deer situation in your area. My father in law used to hunt there every year. We were going to make a trip there together, but never got it done.  >:(He sure loved that area.  :D

I live and hunt in Tioga county, right about on the NY border. 21 years ago I bought a lifetime NY sportsman's linence and moved into PA. I hunt both sides, lots of deer tags, lots of opening days. I save my NY small game spots for Sundays, shoot the doves on the PA side. Overall it works out very well. Shotgunner

I live in the Hunlock Creek area,Luzerne County. I hunt mostly in 4E. I also hunted Dutch Mnt. for quite a few years with great success until the last 5 or 6 years when I couldn't find a deer. I've hunted Kaycee Wyo. for a few years for mulies and pronghorn with stellar success and 1 trip to Canada,we bagged 1 big buck and had a super great time.

I live in Aston, PA which is located in Delaware county.  I am about 15 minutes south of the philadelphia airport and about 5 minutes north of the Delaware State line.  I live in a very suburban area that connects to a very urban area.  However there are a lot of untapped archery hunting areas here.  There are deer all over the place and I am one of the few people that hunt this area.  Got a real nice point down here last year tat hada 22" spread and some great mass.

We also have some great fishing in the DE river with the Spring striper runs and some huge catfish.  Not too far of a ride to do some great saltwater fishing too.  Launch ramp int ot the DE river is about a 10 minute ride from my door.

I do a lot of Pheasant and Rabbit/Squirrel hunting in Chester and Montgomery counties.  On public land of course.

When I go rifle hunting for deer and Fall/Spring Turkey I go to my fathers property in Wayne county.  It's about 150 acres north of Honesdale on rt. 670.  Backs up to some good gamelands too.

I do my bear hunting on 135 acres of land in Schuykill county just south of Tamaqua.  This is my inlaws property.
I used to hunt the Mansfield area when I went to college there.

Of course I make a fall run to Erie for the Steelheads too.

I'm in Erie, and the family cabin is near West Hickory, Forest County.

Several years ago they drilled for gas and then logged out the 120 acres across the road from us. Dad bought it cheap and now we have our own little slice of heaven. At my request Dad willed it to my sons, so I'll be caretaker one day. As for now, Mom an Dad (80's) live there for all but the winter months.

I thought I allready made a post to this thread but I looked it over and I guess not. I live in Scottdale Pa Westmoreland county. That is about 50 miles or so south west of Pittsburgh. It would seem that we have about a half dozen people from this thread with in 40 or 60 miles of me. We should all get together at a range and have a shoot this summer. This way we get to meet one another. What do you think? Dale
