Westmoreland county (2B). I was born in Meadville Crawford County. I shoot more paper than anything else anymore; we have plenty of Deer in (2B), just getting too picky in my old age, But its great reading about all the Pa, hot spots I have hunted over the years. Spent a lot of time in Warren, Forest, and Crawford County Wood, and Shot a lot of Deer, Rabbits , Ducks, Pheasants, and Fox up there.

Luzerne County, around Hazleton, don't hunt anymore, too hard to get around, about all I do now is kill stray cans in the strippings. We used to be overrun with deer but now their getting scarce. Used to hunt small game in the Cuningham Drums Valley but now it's mostly all developed with people with 1 to 5 acres of lawn, used to be great farmland, a few Family farms left, but their scarce.............steg

Hi...

I thought I had posted a reply to this thread earlier, but it doesn't show, so I guess I didn't.

At any rate...I live in York County, near the Susquehanna River. I'm a member for 30 years or so of The York Rifleman gun club.
I spend some small amount of time hunting in Franklin County and Elk County. Used to live in Bedford County and hunted all over Bedford and Fulton County in my long-ago youth.

My son and I hunt deer and bear in Elk County and turkey and squirrels in Franklin County, mostly because there are no motor vehicles allowed where we hunt once you leave the parking areas. No vehicle noise and once you get back in a half mile or so, you seldom see anybody else, especially if the terrain gets a little steep and rugged. I like solitude when hunting and hiking.

I'm from Newburg, near Carlisle... Hunt deer out of state in Indiana & Ohio.. hunt some locally on state land, but not real familiar with the area yet(moved here from Indiana).. will be retiring the end of the year(going part-time) and will be taking a lot of time off next fall/winter... am planning on month long Colorado archery elk hunt to kick off my retirement.

I feel for you Hornet, you are closer to Bees than me, My wife would like nothing better than for him to close up, or move the gun shop out of state.
Kenny is a good guy with great prices.

Kenny is a good guy. Since he has opened his shop I haven't bought a gun from anyone else. Even if he raises his prices some, I will still give him my business. If fact I just bought another gun from him two weeks ago. Great little gun shop! I hope he never moves.

Amen to that, I have 3 gun dealers closer to me than Bee, the two in Delmont are 30% higher than Bee on guns and in some cases 40% higher on reloading supplies, and the one in Penn hills, I called him to check a price on a handgun, the price was 30% above Bees, when I told him what Bee quoted, he said well I can do that, I bought the gun at Bee, I would rather deal with someone that gives you a fare price up front.
In the last ten years Bee’s has significantly increased my gun collection

I now live in Scottdale Pa and my zip is 15683. I must be pretty close to you because I grew up in Verona and went to school in Oakmont. That would be Riverview High School. Could you please post a address of this gun store or a phone number? I am always looking for a new good gun store. If you do not want to post it you could PM me the details. Thanks and take care Dale

No problem, The easiest directions would be for you to go north on 66, a couple miles north of Delmont take 286 east go about 8 miles, just before you get to Saltsburg he is on the right hand side, it’s a small block building.
He doesn’t have a lot of inventory on hand, but most times if you order a Gun or reloading supplies, he will have what you want in a week.
His phone number is 724-639-9707 great guy and well worth the drive.

I will second that.

Dale, if you are looking to buy a gun I would be willing to bet that you won't find a better price in this area, than what Kenny will give you.
