Looking for a Nice Cheap Scope for a Marlin 60
« on: July 15, 2009, 11:11:47 AM »
I've got a Marlin Model 60 and I'm looking for a scope to put on it.  I'm not looking to spend over $50 for it.  Any suggestions?

I've had good luck over the years with low end Bushnell scopes.  Your budget of $50 puts you in the Sportview, or perhaps a fixed power Sportsman, level.  I have a few of each model and have no complaints.

Cabelas has their Pine Ridge 2.5-7x32 muzzleloader scope on sale right now for $39.99 it has 4" eye relief and parallax is set to 50 yds. I have two on rimfires and really like them.

Check out "Shootout at Vassar Meadows" and you'll see what a bottom line Nikon 4X can do. I know. I was there, with the Savage and the Nikon.

Yep, you beat me to it.   ;)

"Nice" and "cheap" are two words that do not go together when shopping for a rifle scope.

Have you looked at the Center-Point Scopes?
I have a one on a MAS 45 trainer
Picked it up at Wally World for $50.00
Came with Rings, it has a adjustable lighted cross hair, (Red or Green) and is a Mil Dot.
Variable zoom

Lots of goodies for not much money.

Had it for a couple months, banged around riding in a case in a truck.
Still shoots dead on

There's lots of good cheap scopes on the Market.  You can't beat a Bushnell Banner for the money.

Like Marine Dad said, buy a CenterPoint A Wal Mart. I have two that are a little over two years old & still going strong. They both are regularly adjusted from my 50 yd rimfire 0 to 25 yds & up to 250 yds. Elevation is dead nuts every time. Pretty good glass too.
