Prior to 1980, Maine had a spring black bear season but that ended. I was doing some searching and discovered that they have a tent camp at a very reasonable rate, at least to me when compared to other spring bear hunts on Indian land.

Do you know of anyone who has hunted spring bear in Maine?

I guide here in Maine as well..........I would post your question on the bear hunting forum and see what you get for hits.  After that I would talk to as many people as you can that have hunted with that outfitter.
