i am new to this and i was thinking about buying the carronade cannon barrel from from dixie gun works has any body had any experince with them how many companys makes cannon barrels ?

Go up to the stickys and look at Hern Foundry. They I believe they make that barrel for Dixie. Many of us own Hern products.

they have nice barrels can they fire live rounds i see they are unvented they sold for decorative i was wanting one i could shoot with round balls thinks guys

Yes they do this for liability reasons, you drill the touch hole and make it shoot, 
these are the same barrels DGW sells only DGW drills the touch hole and charges more
money for the same product.

This is a Hern Barrel, the same one sold by Dixie Gun Works for considerably more money. You will have to drill the fuse hole yourself if you buy it direct from Hern. This particular barrel has an NSSA compliant breach plug, which cost an extra $200 bucks.

i love get one like that so i need a breech plug what all i need to ask for when i order i am also ording going to order from i think u call dom on here dahlgren and the short barreld howitzer thanks guys

The Hern NSSA style breech plug is thicker than their standard plug, and is dished rather than flat to allow it to be cleaned easier. Just tell Joel that you want an NSSA style breech plug and he will understand what that means.

Before you order though, ask the other vendors here what they can do for you and see what you like best. Something as simple as your location, which determines shipping charges, could make a big difference in price from two different vendors.

And certainly if you can get something machined from solid steel rather than cast around a steel liner you will have a much better gun.

Lots of variables... time to do your homework!
