I'm in New Iberia. There are two ranges that I know of. One is the sherrif's range off broken arrow road near the parish jail.
They are normally open on wednesday's and saturday's 8am till noon. Haven't heard of anyone firing a cannon there. But Civil War reenactor's do shoot one at Shadows on the Teche during a yearly thing for the mansion. The other is The Fusillier
Complex. Of which I am a member. This is a private range with access to the range via key for the large gate that goes across the only road into the range. Again haven't heard of anyone firing a cannon at this range either. I live outside the city itself and would think you would need to notify your local police dept prior to firing. This would more than likely be necessary to prevent a lot of cars showing up with lights on the top. Better safe than sorry. Sorry to not have been more helpful. Frank
