wanting to mount Millett DMS-1 scope on my 527
« on: July 20, 2009, 08:35:56 PM »
I am confusing myself.

The factory 1" rings are .530 or so high.  Millett makes .413, .533 and .663 rings for 30mm scopes.  I have a DMS scope that I think would be really fast on the CZ carbine, even if it is a little heavy.  I have a 1" Nikon Monarch 4x on the rifle now.  The ocular bells are the same size on the two scopes.

The difference in the tube radius is about 2mm or .157 if my math is correct.

Am I wrong or will the low Millett rings work at .413?

ck the bolt handle clearance.
also ck the new timberline  scopes from Burris--mine fits the carbine real good with rear sight inplace  with factory mounts
