PT 111 Millenium sights
« on: July 21, 2009, 04:28:05 PM »
I recently purchased a pt 111 in 9mm.  So far, I like the gun for what it is for, concealed carry.  The only issue that I need to address is that it shoots about 4 inches low at 7 yards.  Is there a sight I can purchase, either front or rear, so I can correct the elevation issue?  Have tried several loads, and found that blazer 115 grain solids shoot the best, with all shots touching at 21 feet, just that group is 4 inches low. All brands of ammo shoot to the same point of impact.  Thanks guys.   Jeff in San Antonio.

I would guess you have the Heinie straight eight sights?
One dot on top of the other right?
I have those on my PT111, and I really don't like them, and like you, I tend to shoot low.
They tell me that you have to cover the target with the front sight, and some guys swear that shooting with both eyes is what makes them work.
Personally, I'd like different sights.
