Stars are cut from DOT reflective tape. The "Let Freedom Ring "and the Spirit of "76" decals will be done this week . Getting ready for the Montana Aug. 8th Shoot @ Cut Bank .
The Flag is patterned after the "Cowpens" flag first used in 1777 . The original hangs in the Maryland State House.

Mortar is looking great! although the way it is painted I almost expect to see confetti & streamers shooting out of it......
Cowpen's a great victory for Brigadier General Daniel Morgan, his use of troops and tactics cost the British dearly that day!
An interesting battle and an interesting man.

Say Guzzibill, do you have a side shot of that slap hammer firing system? I'm thinking of converting one of my Howitzers to that firing method, and just wondered what the side view would look like. Thanks, BoomLover

RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won. He died instantly.

1southpaw , as a fellow lefty i can only admire that tube . thats a great idea .
i would proly (i would) put a teny tiny itsy bittsy bit Marine Corps signage and lingo .....
but it would for sure be mostly a U.S. flag motiff with a liberty bell .
that would be a great use for one of Doms simplier smooth sided mortars ........hummm
