Just for a moment lets forget about the meeting and focus on what I heard a little girl say today when she overheard her dad and my self talking about it.

"My teacher said that he smoked and that it was wrong."

Now you tell me how to explane to a child, in words that they can understand, that even if the LIAR IN THE WHITEHOUSE does it it is still wrong for them to do it.

What the heck was he thinking.
That really looks dumb on his part to talk about having a beer with the officer.
He could have invited him with out saying anything about drinking.
At least the kids wouldn't be asking questions about why it is ok for him to do it but not them.

I was thinking about this driving home yesterday.     I told Kathie my opinion, the one I expressed here, and she ... well I won't tell you what she said,  but she got me thinking along your lines.

So I now think I would go.  And I would express my opinion of the president, the man not the office, and his friend the loud mouth.     But I would try to do it calmly and without antagonism, showing that I was just stateing pure, unadulterated fact and my personal, unbias opinion...   

Oh, and I would go wired for sound so I could make sure there would be an unaltered, verbatum transcript of the conversation.

Sounds good, in theory anyway.
I'd give anything to hear that this lawman confronted BO on the remarks BO made on natl TV, calling the lawman's actions stupid.
But I can't envision that this law enforcement professional will be the type to confront the President of the United States.
This poor sucker will be tripping over his own feet trying to not be a racist.
BO and gates will walk all over him, and BO will come out smelling like a rose, the media will fawn all over him, ad nauseum.
I guess that is supposed to happen today, but I can no longer bear to keep up with current events.  So I don't know if they have already had their little meeting or not.

The cop has a family and responsibilities to them. He should do what's best for them. We can talk trash about what he should do, but he's the one who has to play the cards dealt to him. I'd bet he hasn't been getting a lot of sleep lately with all the attention he's been getting. He probably has a good deal of hate building in him for the men who put him in this situation, but that will all be covered with smiles until this is over.

I have to agree with DDZ, I change the channel or turn it off when BHO is on TeeVee or radio. It would take all my self control if I was seated near him to avoid going to jail. So no I would not go, I consider BHO a trator to America as I do most politicos.

I would not be put in a position that made me look like I had done something wrong and not him.
I am sure that is the way they want this thing to play out.
Why give the LIAR the satisfaction!

As far as the job, if that is the way I am going to be treated for doing my job then let the LIAR do it for a while.
