1/20 twist White mtn carbine

has anyone ever heard of a white mtn.carbine barrel with this twist ni a 50cal.T/C site says 1/38 but i get almost a full twist in the length of the barrel using a tight patch....karl

I believe it was a short lived offering in that twist  for there break away sabots

I do know the twist changed with the shorter barrel

actually it was the standard twist for a long time, them later it was 1:38 for a few years, & even some 1:48 after that.  Mike

Always interesting to see the different replys to some of these questions. A couple years ago T/C told me my White Mountain Carbine was out of the custon shop because it had the 1 in 38 twist and that the 1 in 20 was the "standard" twist! We may never really know....

just a footnote, if you call them with serial # they will tell you the twist you have.  Mine is a 1:38 not from the custom shop & shoots pretty good with 245 bullets
