Scopes on the Dicks SG heavy bbl package deal

 I recently bought one of the heavy bbl 308 package deals with the composite camo stocks from Dick's SG. The scope had no brand name or country of manufacture on it. I had already made up my mind that it was going to get replaced with a Banner 3X9X40 before I brought the gun home but figured I would give the scope a try on my savage 10FP 223. Well I set about sighting the 223 in today and just wanted to let anyone who is thinking of buying one of these combos that the eye relief is minimum and that at least on the one I have which is a 4X12X40 the adjustments are backwards! up is down and right is left. I don't think this is entirely Dick's SG fault because it my understanding that this is a package deal sent to them from H&R and that the scopes are shipped in the box with the gun. I realize that Remmington needs to keep cost down but if they can afford to put bushnells on their package bolt guns why not do that on the H&R's and potentially drive up sales with a quality product?

 The first couple shots I didn't notice it because I did the trick where you lock the crosshairs down on the center dot shoot once then move the cross hairs to the bullet hole, but when I started to fine tune it that's when I noticed the adjustments were backwards!
