Solution to healthcare

The Perfect Solution to Senior Health Care

While discussing the upcoming Universal Health Care Program with my sister-in-law the other day, I think we have found the solution. I am sure you have heard the ideas that if you’re a senior you need to suck it up and give up the idea that you need any health care. A new hip? Unheard of.. We simply can't afford to take care of you anymore. You don't need any medications for your high blood pressure, diabetes, heart problems, etc. Let’s take care of the young people. After all, they will be ruling the world very soon.

So here is the solution. When you turn 70, you get a gun and 4 bullets. You are allowed to shoot 2 senators and 2 representatives. Of course, you will be sent to prison where you will get 3 meals a day, a roof over your head and all the health care you need! New teeth, great! Need glasses, no problem. New hip, knee, kidney, lung, heart? Well bring it on. And who will be paying for all of this? The same government that just told you that you are too old for health care. And, since you are a prisoner, you don't have to pay any income tax.

I really think we have found a Perfect Solution

Of course the congressmen and their families will continue to get their  tax payer funded private health care. God bless the red white and blue.

The key is surely for the congress to have the same plan as the rest of us commoners. If there is a key.

a republican put that amendment on the health bill. The Democrats took it out. As Orwell said "all animals are equal but some are more equal than others"

Marty,

Yes it is certainly all equal, the politicians get raises and the wage earner looses his job because an investment bank made investments with no value and the wage earner has to pay for the bailout. The paycheck is hit for a third in taxes while the corporations get to spend money on growth or research before taxes are taken. Why not tax them first then let them invest out of thier profits. That would put them on more even ground with the working man. Then get rid of the other loopholes. Oh Well

Got this in a email today.Thought it was pretty good.Slow

I think they have a handle on health care
the American Medical Association has
weighed in on the new Health Reform Proposals:

The
Allergists voted to scratch it, but the Dermatologists advised not to make
any rash moves. The Gastroenterologists had sort of a gut feeling about it,
but the Neurologists thought the Administration had a lot of nerve.

The
Obstetricians felt they were all laboring under a misconception.
Ophthalmologists considered the idea shortsighted. The Pathologists yelled,
"Over my dead body!"
while the Pediatricians said, 'Oh, Grow up!'

The
Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, while the Radiologists
could see right through it. Surgeons decided to wash their hands of the
whole thing. The Internists thought it was a bitter pill to swallow, and the
Plastic Surgeons said, "This puts a whole new face on the matter.."

The Podiatrists thought it was a step
forward, but the Urologists were pissed off at the whole idea. The
Anesthesiologists thought the whole idea was a gas, and the Cardiologists
didn't have the heart to say no.

In the end, the Proctologists won out, leaving the entire decision up to the
(censored word) in Washington.
Life is not about how fast you run, or how high you climb, but how well
you bounce

I think the solution to healthcare is to make all the senators, congressmen, presidents, vice presidents, and elected officials ALL be covered by exactly the same plan as they have in mind for us.  There would be NO exceptions under penalty of law. Put them in our social security program too.

That has as much chance of happening as all of the remaining stimulus money being paid out in equal portion to every legal resident in the US. That would actually kick-start the economy.
What is the point of Life if you can't have fun.

How 'bout a sliding scale starting at 55? 55-60 you get a 30 rd mag, 60-65 you get a 20, 65-70 a 10, 70+ a revolver. We want to get more out of you if we're going to have to feed you longer. ;D
