Dicks sg camo synthetic stocks

Well i am tired of searching for the camo stocks.  If i pick up a 308 heavy barrel, will the stock set fit my 45-70?  At this point i am ready to buy a gun & part it out to get the new camo synthetic stocks that can't be bought or traded for.  Looks like the beefy fore end with checkering should provide more area to hold on to when the buffalo bores go down the pipe.  Any help?  thanks

Yes, all H&R stocks fit all of their frames with the exception of a couple shotgun forends.

 I spoke with costomer service, and they stated that the synthetic camo stocks are a dick's SG exclusive and are not available as an aftermarket purchase. I was hoping to put a set on my 7-08, but am not willing to $279 just for the stocks. The forend on the 308 is beefier and good positive checkering. i am disapointed that these are not available as stock sets.

The black version is available from H&R, it comes on the 357 and 44 mags and combos, I have one on my 35 Whelen Improved, it also wears a Limbsaver #10011 now.

 although I'm kinda mulling over the idea of picking up the Dick's SG 22-250 and putting a black set on that, then I would have the camo set for when I lay my hands on a 30-30!

I am going by there tonight, they told me they have 308, 223, & 22-250.  I don't want to buy a gun just for the stocks, but i have been looking for quite some time now.

 If you ure in New York and can get ahold of the 2008 DEC hunting regulations booklet/magazine there is a $10 coupon in it for Dick's SG good for hunting,fishing and camping equipment but it expires 7/30/09

you could have your black stock dipped like they do with the decal . there is a company that does it now .
