Aimpoint 9000 SC

I just had a contender scope die.  I had looked at the aimpoint 2 power 2 moa in the past.  I received a flyer which has the 9000 SC on sale.

i haven't seen any discussion on aimpoint.  Anyone use one?

I've had a 9000sc on a 12" G2 .44 for a short while, but long enough to find that the Aimpoint rings that came with it might work on a rifle but not a hard-kicking pistol. I got heavier Warne steel rings and everything now seems ok. BTW, it's a very nicely done barrel from MGM, highly recommend them over anything T/C.

I'm hoping to use the gun for short range deer and elk. The 2m dot is great for 50yd target shooting but I'll have to see how 1x is for judging antlers in dense woods.
