Good replacement stock for sporterized 6.5 swede

I have sporterized swede that has the lower end synthetic stock (ramline?) on it. It has the bold trigger with safety. Anyone know who makes a good synthetic (maybe pillar bedded) or laminated wood stock that will fit the stepped military barrel, and the bold trigger/safety?

When I restocked my 6.5 with the ramline , I noticed there was not a problem with the stepped barrel . So I doubt any stock made for the 96 & 38 Swede could not be adapted . The ram line stock was made with a scope in mind, so things did not work out sinceI wanted to stay with the peep.But otherwise it fit just great.  Other small ring mauser's and the swede's would generly require some small fitting , so best ask the man who makes the stock how much fitting there will be for your gun.

I purchased one of the Fajan mauser stocks from Midway several years ago for my daughters Swede. It was one of the Kimber sporterized package deals they put out some years back. It had a cheap, probably Ramline or similar type stock on it and the recoil lug allowed it to move all around.

With the Fajan, I did have to inlet a bit here and there to allow for the bent down bolt handle and the bolt release, but it was a simple process with a hacksaw blade and a rasp. After fitting it to the stock I bedded it, threw on a half dozen coats of Tru oil and haven't looked back.

They are worth the look, especially if you can find one and/or catch them on sale. Might also look at the Boyd's line as well, either on their home page or through StockysStocks.com or on Midways site. You might have to do a bit if fitting, but it isn't too awefully hard to get them set right, and a Brownells bedding kit will have you in business in a weeks time.

Go to Boyds web site and look at some of the laminated stocks they have . The look at some of the  links where the stocks are sold .    Then there are also boyds on E-bay.
 Rats !!! can not ship to Canada  I would just have ordered one for myself!

Richard's Microfit makes some really good stocks.  www.gun-stocks.com

They're available in a good variety of styles, but more importantly to me is that they're available in all manner of different wood types and grades.  To me regular American Walnut is pretty, but too common for my tastes, so the ability to buy stocks in Maple, Myrtle, English Walnut, or a variety of other types really works well for me.  Naturally, they also have a variety of laminate styles available that should work well for you. 

IIRC they also will cut the military barrel channel for mausers.

Personally the only Boyds I bought was lacking.  Too many little gaps in the inletting.  I eventually replaced it with a Richards.
