I have used several radios for hunting in the Pennsylvania mountains. Motorola distance radios, T7200, Cobra, and all of these have been somewhat successful. Due to terrain we have some difficulty between certain stand locations. This year I purchased a pair of Midland G300's. They clearly outdistanced the opther radios. Reception and transmission were noticably better. We were even able to talk clearly between the stand locations where we had trouble with the other radios. The only issue was placing them in a pocket. This seemed to interfere with reception. We plan to get shoulder harnesses and use them next year.
Overall, I highly recommend the G300's based on my experience.
