I do not expect fairness or balance from NPR or from Alaska public radio stations. I listen to them because they do have long news programs and the news programs have long segments. Also, they report scientific and political news and disregard news about some person locking their children in the trunk of a car or some movie star beating up his girlfriend. Listening to NPR lets me know what the enemy is thinking!
I must admit to not knowing what a tacked outfit might be and I only know of twinkies as a junk food item. So I do not know what the comment intended to say.
The NPR segment was extremely anti-gun and anti-2nd Amendment. It asked for legislation, talked about the NRA in a disparaging way, and interviewed a fellow from the so-called Violence Policy Center.
Gun owners must be on their guard. We have to work to have pro-gun candidates elected to Congress next year. We have to carefully watch the redistricting process that will follow the upcoming census.
We have to keep the NRA strong. Like it or not, if NRA leaders are ever guilty of the dishonesty and double-dealing we routinely see in some elected officials, some labor unions, many charitable organizations, some church organizations, etc. that will be the time the Washington anti's try to take our guns.
