Game cam pics, ho brother do I have gamecam pics! (56k take a hike)

So my best huntin' budand I bought a new gamecam just recently after someone decided they needed our old one worse than we did a while back. 

A couple weeks ago I took it out and refreshed one of our salt licks and hung the camera.  We let it sit for two weeks and just got it out today.  In the pics you can see my deer stand in the background.

It'd be an understatement to say that I'm excited about deer season....  We've got bigger bucks on camera than I've ever seen on our place.

Oh, the time is 12 hours off.

If you see them anywhere near that salt lick during legal shooting hours come season it will surprise me. I once had a lick like that set up that they dug almost into a lake but never once in several years of hunting that area did I see one near it during legal hunting hours of hunting season.

The area we put the lick in has been a hotspot for activity even without the lick in place.  I passed on a nine point out of that very stand last year.  It's on a convergence of trails moving to a bean field and there always seems to be a lot of rutting activity in that general area.  I shot a nine not 50 yards away two years ago.

I do think you are right though, once they lose the velvet they don't hit the salt as much I don't think.

Yeah I'm going to look into building some kind of metal security box for my camera.
