I can recall in my days of reloading pistol cartridges, some folks avoided Bullseye like the plague. General feeling was that since it burned hot and fast, it shortened barrel life.
Any chance 777 has a similar sort of characteristic?
I wrote Hodgdon's asking basically, "How do you decide between 777 and Pyrodex?" along with a list of questions about points I thought were of merit in making the decision. No answer at this point, been about a week.
