Most of the cars I've owned were junk compared to the really nice looking clunkers that are being turned in for the clunker money. I'm sure they're getting some real clunkers, but man, there are things like 2002 Ford Explorers being turned in. Cars like that are worth more than $4500.

Geez... did the cash for clunkers program run over your dog or something?  This is the third thread on the subject that you've started in the last 4 hours...

Dukkilr:

No, it's simpler than that. Some people do small talk about sports. I do small talk about cars. I can't get enough of it.

How true! They steal your money, call it thier own, and people believe them.  What else will happen 45-70, is when you are old and need medical treatment you will be denied. They will steal your money to pay for medical treatment for someone they deem worthy.

I would like to know where all these clunkers are that are on the road. You never see clunkers on the road today. Nothing like you did back in the 1970's. My first car was a 55 chevy four door that I paid $200 for, and it took me anywhere I wanted to go. Why wasn't there a cash for clunkers back in the 70's? All cash for clunkers is for, is to support Obama's union buddies that voted him in. Just another one of his pay backs with our money.
I wonder if any of these people that are driving clunkers, ever thought that the reason they are driving clunkers is that they can't afford new cars. If anyone needs a job, now is the time to become a repo man.
