Bruce Rossmeyer went down in Wyoming
« on: August 03, 2009, 04:45:07 PM »
Bruce Rossmeyer the owner of the huge HD dealership in Daytona died in Wyoming riding to Sturgis. He had been to a meeting in Colorado and was riding in Wyoming to hook up with some more friends when he passed a pu pulling a trailer. The pu turned left and Rossmeyer hit the pu. The pu had a left sigal on and was slowing so it was unknown why he passed from the article I read.  He was well liked and a community man from the article.

That sucks-

A local cop will believe a local rancher when he says he had his blinker on, I always wonder what really happened when these accidents happen!? Probably a 2 lane road, truck pulling a trailer truck slows down, driver doesn't know there is a biker behind him (or doesn't care)

There was a head on collision up here two weeks ago. Two lane country road, 6:30 am- single motorcyclist-passing a truck-collides with the lead rider of a group of five. I have ridden that road (county road 6) It is a windy, twisty, fun to ride road with no good spots to pass. One impulse of impatience or hurriedness ended up taking the life of the fire chief of a small town, riding to work with his buds. (they ended up as his pall-bearers)  :(

Sad, and an all often occurence...  :(

Walking back to my office from Court yesterday I came up on one of our young public defenders.  He was slowly hobbling down the hall on a walker and in a leg cast.  Seems like a guy changed lanes and cut him off as he was entering the expressway from a ramp.  He was lucky...  :-\

Be careful out there boys, they are out to get us!

I've got a trucker buddy up in Montana right now,and he say's its crazy with biker's even in Billings Montana. They're passing on the left, and the right and them slowing down after they get in front of him.Alot of them have to much firewater in them to be riding. He say's the highway's up there are just clogged with biker's.All the trucker's at the truck stops are telling horror stories about nearly getting one. If anyone goes out there,be carefull. I almost went my self, but I'm saveing my miles for the Colorado N. M. ride.  Digger

1) Ride like they can't see you.

2) Every car is trying to kill you.

Those two sayings have saved my hide countless times. Unfortunately we all have to punch the clock sometime, it was bruce's time. I would rather go that way rather than cancer-ridden, beggin a nurse for more morphine.

As defensively as we ride, most will be confronted with the unexpected.  That's what will kill you.

I was trying to be mildly sarcastic.

Reelly!?  :-\  I'm crushed...  :'(

Now THAT'S delivery!  ;) ;D
