It's getting closer!
« on: August 03, 2009, 05:05:42 PM »
Spoke with September at Bullberry today. Seems my rifle will be in the next batch to be built, scheduled to start in two weeks time. She also said the are a few Contender parts they are having trouble acquiring at the moment, and the next batch of Encores might get moved up a bit. So I'm looking at mid-Sept. for a delivery date. That would give me a month to get loads developed before my Elk hunt in mid Oct. I guess I need to start gathering components to load for the Encore now.

Just had to share!

Good luck on your hunt and what caliber is the barrel in? You'll also want to post pics of the rifle when you've got it done. Dave
Do you speak German? Well I don't speak Spanish so maybe you'd better learn English.

Not sure what contender parts she referred too. Didn't apply to me, so i didn't think to ask. Sorry.

The barrel will be .280imp. 24" long, med. varmint contour (.850" @ muzzle). I ordered the whole rifle from them, trigger job, base, rings, & dies. It will be my first Encore. I did order the stock and fore arm unfinished so I can stain it the color I want (darkish gray), not cherry like they would have.

I will definitely post some pics when i get it, and accuracy results as they come in. I'm hoping this one will be a shooter. All I've heard about BB, says it will be.  Also hoping it's something I can get comfortable with fairly quickly with that hunt sneaking up on me so soon after getting it. I've got a plan "b" rifle. But would really like to stick to plan "a".

Not a problem- Can't wait to see your rig when you get it done.

Probably locking lugs and/or extractors.
Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus
