you know what this free advice is possibly worth dale ...think about it. but....
if theres kids to be trained an she knew you liked guns to start with...
just let her know you intend to educate them....
in any case ,it sounds like mabe this just lit a fuse for something that has been there a while...
take her on a date an let guns be the last thing thats on you mind...
making up is better than any hunting i ever did..jmo :)slim
don t compromise your view on the 2nd ammendment... that subject would probably be best avoided altogather...a GOOD WOMAN GIVES A MAN PEACE OF MIND ,,LIKE NOTHIN ELSE CAN.

I have to say I get really pissed off at her at times but we are used to each other now. We will be together 17 years in November.

She still drives me crazy at times though. I do the same to her so it is give and take.

"Das Helle" would tranlate as "The Light One" meaning the color not the calories

The great thing about fighting with my wife is that, after the rare occasions on which we do it, our bond gets a bit stronger.

My wife and I are quite different in sensibilities, but that's what I wanted in a wife. We complement each other. This causes friction at times, but overall it makes our union better because I inherit the benefit of her strengths, and she inherits the benefit of mine. This seems to be the natural explanation for why men and women are different.

If I wanted a woman that thinks like I do, then I'd have been better off single.

I figure that the core values are the most important thing. And politics isn't a core value, so differences there ought to be ignored or at least quietly tolerated.

There is an old saying.."opposites attract". While this may be true, I like to say "opposites attract, but similars stay together". While this is only a generality, I believe that if a man & woman were brought up with approximately the same values, training, discipline, religion, politics and dwelling preference (city vs country)... their chances of making it work are greatly enhanced.
True, there are success stories without these qualifying factors, but chances are much improved with them in play (IMO). The wife and I will be celebrating 53 years in a few days and our young lives were so similar there were very few if any, "differences" to settle.

its most important that you are focused on similar goals ,,i think..
my first wife was a sweet country girl of 18,,i was a little rough around the edges my self..

okay i was dumb as dirt..
30 yrs later she had become somewhat of a keep up with the jones person ...i was a man who thought the keep up with the jones crowd were just not anything but funny sometimes..so without effort an prayer
any marriage can come apart if you just both going in different directions...she ask for a few weeks separation one night due to my not being willing to sign on for another lrg 30 yr.mortgage payment,at 57 yrs old..... i had been trying to get us to counseling,,but she said things would get said ,,that couldn t be taken back ..but id never have ask her to separate.... so she left and i ask the kids to hang close to her,,
as she was talking scary stuff..meantime i went thru hell for mabe 8 months or more..
i ll always love her even tho ive remarried... she will always be the sweetest mother an lover a man could hope for...but my vows are to another great lady now,,an this is one of the few times ,ive allowed my self
to remember,,or let it be on my mind...my vows with my wife now don t allow me to think about this any longer... good luck dale... slim

and while all this is transpiring, i am out chasing skirts and living it up. what has this to do with the topic....well i will tell ya.....

you would be SHOCKED at how many women get super excited to go shooting. i have introduced alot of women (potentially anti-gunners) to shooting and shooting sports. they LOVE it. the way i see it, everyone i take out shooting, teach them about guns, educate them about safety, and let them see how much fun it can be, is one less person for the anti's to brainwash. there is nothing like hands on experience to combat propoganda.
got another one lined up for sunday afternoon.

No matter who you marry you will see this person's faults much easier then you will see the good. Its just human nature. Part of keeping a good marriage is to overlook the faults and focus on the good that your partner brings too the marriage.

The best marriage's happen when both are forgivers. Holding on to petty annoyances, old hurts and dissapointments, wastes your time and energy. Holding on to a perceived hurt can spawn hate and bitterness. Forgiveness is one of the greatest gifts you can give to your spouse. God will not forgive you unless you forgive others first.

My youngest son is getting married today, and I pray that God will bless his marriage, and God the best maker of all marriage's will combine thier hearts into one. Also I pray that this commitment will last a lifetime. For this is what God wants and expects.
