Why wasn't this on the front page every day?
« on: August 05, 2009, 02:54:24 PM »
William Jefferson's trial went on or many weeks and he was finally convicted on charges that could get him 150 years in prison. The scandal here is that this trial wasn't on the front page every day as it unfolded.  George Bush cuts a fart and it's on every TV station in the country for a full year, but when a black democrat congressman commits multiple terrible crimes against the country, it gets an article at the arrest and an article at the conviction.

I'm sure you saw something about it. He's the guy that had $90,000 in his freezer. He was selling favors to various African countries, among other things. Guilty on 11 of 16 charges.

democrat will get to play golf at a country club prison for 6 months and will keep his health care and federal pension and it wont be mentioned again, hey they all do it if he gets hard time it would be a horrible president to set they could all go to a real jail when nabbed.

NPR had a good story on the conviction just this morning. He was convicted on 11 of 16 counts.
