Colt Defender and New Agent
« on: August 07, 2009, 03:32:39 AM »
Anyone carry and or just shoot the Colt Defender or New Agent.  I really intested in the New Agent with that trench style sight.  Please not 1911 veres other guns (poly styles) bebates.

Thanks,

Turk

I have a New Agent that I got a few months ago in a trade. I love the little thing. Carries like it isn't there. Shoots anything I feed it and I can even make the thing group 'without sights'. The sight groove took a bit of getting used to, but it's ok.

It just got back from its recall. They replaced the thumb safety, recoil spring plug washer and the outer recoil spring. It still works perfectly.

I have carried it a lot now and on long trips. Completely comfortable. Only good things to say about it and I have no negatives once you understand what a tiny little .45 is to be used for.

critter44,

Your right about the size.  I was hunting for a New Agent but last week I purchased a Colt Night Defender what a great carry gun better than my M&P 357 sig. compact.  What I'd like to see Colt make is a DAO 1911 which I think would be a well recieved could even be a poly lower.  The only gun I like to carry better is my Keltec FP-9 with CT laser.  I'm going to order a CT laser for it today as I've become a firm believer in these sights.
