I was looking at the skin on the back of my hands, and I'm reaching the age where it is beginning to lose its elasticity (pretty much like the rest of me).

That set me to thinking (pretty scary), what are all these beautiful butterflies tattooed to the lower backs of all of these young girls going to look like when they reach my age. My best guess is pterodactyls.

So, what about the following tats:

Those little hearts on bellies after the babies start coming
How about barbed wire around hard bodied arms when those muscles turn to flab
What about old boyfriend's names tattooed on necks
Babes tattooed on hardbodied chests

Imagining these transformations leaves an indelible scar on my brain.

Old tattoos are ugly. 10 years is enough to make them look bad. When a person gets a tattoo, a clock starts ticking. It is the clock of regret. In ten years they will regret it and they will want to get rid of it.

One time I saw what I thought was an old tattoo on a woman's leg. It turned out to be varicose veins.

I have been asking this Question for years.
I had a lady that i know well enough to ask, said she would add to her "tramp stamp" to make it look better, she got angry when i said will that be next week.

there is some incredible art out there on people's skin. if it isnt for you, fine. no one is forcing it on you.
i have some that are well over 15 years old and look like they were done yesterday. it is obvious some of you speak about that which you know not.

This is said jokingly: Did you get yours while in prison, in the military, or while you were drunk?

I talked to a guy who does tattoo removal, and he told me that most of his customers are people who got the tattoo before they "settled down" (got married, bought a house, etc.) A few years after they settle down, they want to get rid of the tattoo.

I mostly laughing about the aging process, and the transformation of certain parts of the body as we get older. I'm not necessarily against tats, but I am against flabby skin, and tats on flabby skin. Arghhhh.

i started when i was in the military. i still get work done now. damn few places will tattoo a person if they even think they have consumed alcohol.

i bet i can produce 25/1 (and this is a conservative ratio) people who got tats and love them to every one person you can find that wants theirs gone.

you guys are entitled to your opinions- ya dont like ink on a girl, that is your right. we all have our preferences. i am betting you though, i could introduce you to a few girls that are inked that you guys would be lining up to meet.

You're probably right about the ratio. I wonder how it will play out over time. The recent tattoo craze isn't that old, and most people haven't had their tattoos for very long. I think tattoos on women are fine. I don't find them attractive, but it's a personal choice. I don't generally find them unattractive either.

The ones that make me want to get into the tattoo removal business are the 20 year old guys with tattoos all up and down both arms and on their necks. They're gonna want those gone after a while.

Tattoos like most things depend on the subject and the body . To much of a good thing can be to much yet a blance with regard to location and meaning can be enhancing . Old flabby skin ain't pretty with or with out pictures clothes enhance it better than any other treatment and the more the better if you get my drift . When someone gets one there should be a goal in mind . They should be applied with a purpose in mind and the act of getting one should not be the goal or the purpose . Those are the people that get them removed . To that end i can't think of anything i would have put on me that i might not change my mind about so as of yet i do not have one . But to be honest i enjoy seeing them on people who enjoy having them . So i suggest if you like them on the ladies then enjoy until they need a skin tighting then find a new subject to watch .

There is one kind of tatto that always totally grosses me out: permanent makeup. They use a tattoo to color the lips as if they had lipstick on them, or the eyebrows. It makes people look like the creepy joker from the batman movies.

(colored contact lenses designed to change the eye color also make a person look creepy.)

in regards to aging....it doesnt really matter. old skin is old skin. and i cant speak for everyone, but i believe the mindset among us tattooed peoples is that we would rather look back when we are old knowing that we really lived, the way we wanted and on our terms, as opposed to worrying about tommorrow to the point that it takes the enjoyment out of life. compound that that most people that are heavy into tattoos have a deep bond with the art they like so much they made it part of them.
i also know of SEVERAL older people (55+) that decided to get tattoos because they figure they dont have to impress anyone any longer and they always wanted one.
all that being said, i still have nothing against people that arent inked. it is just personal perference.

I didn't get tattoos until I was in my 40s. Rather than regret getting them, I'd like to get the ones I have enhanced and maybe add another one.

To me a tats and body piercings are signs of low intelligence. No offense meant to any one here if you have them but that's the first thing that pops into my head when I see one, especially on a female.

I've heard the samething said about closed minds .
Do they get them to improve looks or make a statement ? Or maybe to enjoy a memory .
I guess I'm not arrogant enough to think people I don't know get tatoos to impress me .

I have seen tats I like but not a lot of them. I don't want one myself. My daughter is smart and beautiful. She has a tatoo and wants aanother one. I can't figure it but if that is what she wants I can accept it.

the fellow i got in a scrap with had to wear long sleve shirts in an unairconditioned coutroom...
he didn t fool anybody... i already knew what was there..the court sees it all the time...
his tactic might have worked if he had suited up like the attourneys there...i ll have to give him some free advice next time i see him..not.. i try not be too big a fool.. mans crazy in an you don t know what he might do way.... if i ever killim its gonna be because he forced me...slim
