???  Bill T. While very accurate, but sad. It is also surprising and scary the number of fairly bright people that are fooled by the scam in the white house , and believe the national news media tells the truth. :-[ :-\ :'( >:(

It doesn't matter what the "media" says. The fact is this a$$hat is going to bankrupt this country, and destroy our monetary system. You can't spend what you don't have. Blacks have yet to learn this. Cadillacs and welfare checks come into mind. Now, imagine this on a larger scale and you have Hussein to the tee. This moron has zero financial discipline. We're finished.  Bill T.

"It is unfortunately none too well understood that, just as the State has no money of its own, so it has no power of its own. All the power it has is what society gives it, plus what it confiscates from time to time on one pretext or another; there is no other source from which State power can be drawn. Therefore every assumption of State power, whether by gift or seizure, leaves society with so much less power; there is never, nor can there be, any strengthening of State power without a corresponding and roughly equivalent depletion of social power". Albert J. Nock

They cannot go bankrupt, because they can pay the debts via the money printing press. Unfortunately, they will soon make our money worthless. Then, perhaps the people can take back the power that the democrats and republicans have stolen and return to a constitutional government.

The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first. - Thomas Jefferson

Which, as you so well put, will in fact then be "worthless".  Bill T.

I shouldn't even talk like that, especially when we have so many examples where blacks worldwide have turned stink holes into prosperity, I don't understand how anyone could even question Hussein!  Bill T.

The tractors, combines, and industrial machinery will still be there upon which can be built a prosperity that embraces the Bill of Rights and not a government "to take by force from the sweat of ones brow" as Thomas Jefferson stated so well. Think how well off we would be if we could keep our prosperity rather than have it redistributed to foreign countries, and favorites of the elect.

The problem is we've allowed so much non productive crap into this nation that will never be possible. If everyone had to stand and deliver on their own, the bulk of the minorities in this country would simply evaporate. I fail to see how this would be a bad thing. With that said, I embrace your strategy.  Bill T.

The Three Amigos met again and I still see a common currency for North America coming up, Now who or what will be in control of that currency is the question.

BBF, you had better do what you can to keep yours.

The US federal Reserve was created in 1913 to stabilize the dollar (that is what the pundits said). But it has lost 96% of it's purchasing power to date. That is 96% in 96 years. My simple mind tell's me that it will loose 100% of it's purchasing power in just four more years.
Maybe we can sell Canada some Bailout debt for Canadian dollars.

Anyway, I ain't trading my mule.

I don't have trust in this sheme myself. Having a minority Govt does keep the "experimenting" possibility very small.

Would a currency in principle that is stable and worldwide accepted and available based on a standard* be such a bad thing?  Something like the Euro?

* Gold, silver, oil, coal  a quanity of rice, wheat or......

Sure, it is what made America Great (along with a free market and no income tax). We had a stable money for about a hundred years before the Federal Reserve (except for the two experiments of a central bank), based on gold. The Euro is fiat. All fiat currencies are not sustainable for the long haul because it lets governments inflate and spend.

Shootall, that is very funny, good point.
