MU breech plug: loose powder or pellets??
« on: August 09, 2009, 12:52:46 PM »
As suggested by the forum veterans I've read back about 15 pages (2 years) on the forum. I've read that the factory NEF breech plug is designed for loose powder and doesn't work well with triple 7's type pellets. Is the MU breech plug designed to work both with loose powder and pellets, or does it favor one.

I have personally never used pellets, but I am sure they would work well with the mu plug.  I juyst prefer the loose powder so I can fine tune y powder charge by 5 grains and get the optimal accuracy

I have a factory breech plug with the primer carriers in my side kick and I have had no issue's with T 777 pellets....I have not converted to the MU plug as of yet.I was under the assumption that loose powder doesn't work with the factory plug.Maybe I am wrong??? Busta has answered many of my questions before, maybe he will add input...
