I use bluedot for all my field loads.
Hunting and fishing are not matters of life or death. They are much more important than that.

BD is a slow burning magnum powder I used it years ago in heavy 10-12ga 3.5" & 3" waterfowl loads 1.3/8-1.5/8 and 2.1/4 oz loads, before steel powder came out in steel loads.

It's a great magnum pistol powder.

I'm sure you can find some heavy 1.1/4oz loads to use it in.
Remember it's where the first bullet goes out of a cold barrel that counts most.

I`ve loaded alot of Blue Dot, but never in a 12 ga. 2 3/4 in. load with under 1 1/4 oz. and most with 1 1/2 oz. loads. Save it for your heavy loads and get a powder better suited for lite loads.
