I was wondering the other day on just how much heat from the local environment during summer will a polymer framed gun tolerate before they melt or get soft. I once left a plastic model airplane in the back window of a closed up Chevy when I was a kid during the summer in Pennsylvania, and after a few hours it was sagging.
Places like Arizona and Texas can get hot, what if you left your Glock or Springfield XD-9 on the dashboard in a closed car in the hot sun, or in the trunk, would it get damaged? I figured that this would be a good police or hunter question.
Thanks.
