Hi Chris,When I'm shooting at the range i use Thompson's #19 bore cleaner between shots so I'm always shooting through a clean barrel. When I get home I use hot soapy water to clean the bore and breach plug.A pipe cleaner works great to get the breach plug hole really clean. After I swab the barrel one more time with #19 Cleaner I run dry patches  down the barrel. After that I run a patch with bore butter down the barrel, grease the breach plug threads and reassemble.Ialways run one dry patch down the barrel to remove excess bore butter from the barrel before shooting again.Hope this helps.Mark

Spit patch between shots only, no bore butter, hot water-- dry patch, then Breakfree CLP.

Never-Seize (NSBT-16) or Mil-Spec 907W equiv. from local auto parts store for the breech plug.

Just use "CleanShot" propellent.  Best thing out there.  If you use this instead of Pyrodex or 777 you will not have to clean between shots.  I went the other way at first also . . . and it is a real pain.  Just buy the cleanshot and shoot away.  No cleaning between shots . . . infact, I and my buddy have shot 15-20 shots without cleaning and the powerbelt goes down just as easy the 20th shot as it did the first.  Then when you get home just a couple of patches with hot water and you are done.  This stuff is fantastic.  You can no longer get it in its original pellet form though because another company that also produces pellets sued them.  Look them up on the internet. You will be glad that you did.
