knife sharpening
« on: August 13, 2009, 09:09:00 AM »

I bought my son a CRKT M-16 knife for Christmas last year. It is a really great knife with a double lock and a Tanto style blade. I was trying to sharpen it today which I did a fair job at but something has me stumped. The blade has all the bevel on one side, none on the other. I was wondering if anyone else has ever sharpened one of these? Got any tips?

 Thanks,
   Rusty <><

i have the benchmade one that is similar , i just sharpen like always but only one side . mine got really bad once and i used a second cut mill file to get it back to where i could use a stone . the "corner" where the stright sides meet is easy to round off if you are not careful .
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

I hadn't thought about rounding the corner. Thanks I'll watch that as well.
