Syn Stock=Recoil reducers??
« on: August 14, 2009, 09:10:06 AM »
I have put several recoil reducers(C&H,Graco) in wooden stocked NEF's. Easy slide them in the already bored 7/8 hole. But the  butt stock on a  syn is  mostly hollow   ?????  Any help would be appreciated. Doug

I've not done it Doug, but the 5" 16oz C&H MRR will just fit in the syn stock, then stuff foam packing peanuts tightly around it to hold it in position, they can be dug out to access the stock bolt if necessary, some expanding foam sealant would work too, but it's not easily removed.  ;)

I was kind of thinking the same thing. If I were to put a removeable form, straight to the stock bolt, insert expanding foam.Remove the form and with any luck at all I should be good to go.But there I go thinking again.     ::)      Thanks  Tim             Doug

I use the c&h 100 it is 3/4 of an inch. I then take a piece of 3/4 pvc pipe and align with the stock screw. and fill the void with the expanding foam. good to go
