I went down to my dealer to order a .45/.410 to play around with. He called and nobody had one in stock.

So it's on backorder.
Just my luck.

I guess that'll give me plenty of time to read over all the threads on loading for it.

Get us a range report when it comes in. I'll be interested to see how it does. I stumbled across this company, they make heavy duty .410 slugs designed to be shot out of their own custom rifled slug barrel for a T/C contender. If you scroll down to the bottom of this page it looks like they have a rifled .410 slug barrel in the works for our NEF's - http://hoeningbigboresouth.com/HBBS_News.html

If you surf around the site they give a ballistics table which is rather impressive for a .410 slug:

With that setup the .410 actually becomes a legitimate 100 yard deer round as strange as that sounds.
