What will our new Muslim adminastration do?

Will she be forced to go back to Ohio?  Will she then be sent back to Sri Lanka?  Will sarial law be upheld?

My opinion, at 17 she is old enough to make her own decisions.  And who better knows the capabilities of her father?  Ask some of the other Muslim girls, who knew what was coming and no one would help.

Sourdough, you mean they shouldn't send her back to the religion of peace. I'm sure they would send her back to relatives in the ME and they would take care of her.

There could be some pretty serious penalties for walking away from the Muslim faith, guess it depends on how deep the parents are into that faith.  Who knows.  The ironic thing is, the way things are these days, if a child was running away from the Christian faith and their parents, the far left crowd would do everything possible to keep that child away from the parents.  Look how fast they took the kids away at that place in Texas a while back, no matter who the kids were or the parents, or any real facts on all of them.  Where are those "protective" people now?  I really don't know if this gal could be in danger, but given what has happened to some in the past, I would have to listen to her if she thought it could be bad.  Don't know what the law says though.  Seems the law only applies to certain cases too...as we saw in Texas when they took all the kids away from their parents.

  Perhaps I am out of touch, but didn't liberals put through laws that a teenager after a certain age (16?) could declare themselves "emancipated" ?  If that's the case..the argument should be over, The parents should be given a restraining order and she should be afforded protection from any "stalkers"..

Just for those of you that has not noticed.  There have been many (seems like five or six, one was a double) honor killings of young Muslim women lately in this country, for bringing dishonor to the family.  What they did was convert or try to convert from Islam.  In every case the Father that did the killing was reported to be a gentle, loving, caring, person.  He still murdered his daughter or daughters before he allowed them to convert.  As I said the Quran says "Death to all that do not embrace Islam".  And being a good Muslim it is his duty to kill his daughter.

As a member of that faith you know your family is obligated to act that way. Not my idea of a peaceful religion but it is what it is.
In those societies family honour is everything regardless where they live.
The killer goes to jail, that is expected and considered the price to pay to clean up the dishonour the rest of the family would live with.
My answer to this: Stop immigration and sent those entire families that had these killings back to the country of their origin.

BBF:  In other words, your saying just because you were born into that family of that religion, young women or young men do not have the right to get out of that religion.  She did not chose that religion she was born into it.  I disagree totally.  That religion condones abuse, rape, mutilation, and death of young women with no repercussions to the perpetrator what so ever. 

Those young women are trapped in a very abusing and dangerous religion.  Virtual slaves.  Once they come to America, the country founded on religious freedom, it is our obligation to protect any that decide they want out.

Tolerated: NEVER !

Where did I write that the Perps  should go free or given a lighter sentence because it is their duty to do these acts?

Protect those that wish to leave that religion from becoming victims. OF COURSE !!   

The "how" is the problem.  You can't place them in protective custody or have a 24 hour bodyguard with them.

You can't arrest the family members that would cause them harm prior to the act. 
So tell me what would work, be practical and legal?

We have our own problems with another religious group that figures their traditions overrule Canadian laws. >:(

  Perhaps you didn't mean it that way..but if you sent the entire family that experienced an "honor Killing" by and to one of it's members, back to their country of origin..you would be tolerating that murder by sending them back to where it is encouraged..
