I bought my son a Crickett for his birthday last year and he has had a few failures to extract when shooting Remington bulk pack ammo. These failures never required prying the fired case out of the chamber with a tool or pushing it out with a rod. Each time it happened, closing the bolt on the fired case and cycling the action usually did the trick and if it didn't, the third time was the charm. That ammo wasn't very accurate, either. My 10/22 hated the stuff, also.
The Crickett is a neat little rifle. I wouldn't mind having one of my own. My son's example is capable of grouping into 1/2" at 50 yards with ease -as long as we stay away from bulk-pack Remington ammo.
