Why HECK YES!   ;D  With at least one spot on the license to spare!   ;)  Many more if you hunt Wildlife Mgmt Areas (WMA's).  Those kills don't count against your limit!

:) If you can remember all the calibers or guages, what have you used?  The thread on what, where, etc. made me think of this question. What do you have to say????
Easy: Ford F 150  :(. Hoping to do it with a 6mm Remington and 95 gr. SST bullets this year.

Right off the top of my head, MOST of the deer i've harvested, i used 6mm, 7mm, 8mm, 30, .338 and 44 calibers, in various cartridges of one kind or another...

For me with reloaders scourge (get a rifle shooting great with reloads and selling it for the challenge of working up loads for something else) I have shot deer with few calibers but quite a few rifles.  Also recurve and compounds.  30-30 1, 30-06 4, 308 2, 7m-08 3, 7mm 1, 280 1, muzzleloader 1 and TC in 7-30 Waters 1.  And 2 with my hunting knife.  NOT MINE but a neighbors and a hunting buddies that made poor shots and the deer were finished off after dark when we cannot have guns.

Ok, You .223 guys. What load and what gun??

Stevens 200 .223 Rem
Hornady 55gr SP
75yard double lung shot, hit a rib and still exited

I am a firm believer that the .223 is fine for whitetails, granted that you follow some basic rules.  Under 100 yards, expanding bullets, good shot placement.

.270 win ,20 ga., arrow, 1 with a muzzloader.  Atlaw, are you hunting the big whitetails or the small ones. I hear Gawja has big ones planted from Wisconsin and natives that are a lot smaller. I was in Crawfordville Georgia once to visit the wifes uncle and he had big bucks there.

I guess it depends on where in Jawja you go.   :-\  We got half a dozen different rut periods throughout the state and it has been said that it is because of the different locals that deer were stocked from; Wisconsin being one of them.  I dunno.  All I can say for sure is that where I hunt an average doe runs 65 lbs field dressed, a large buck about 125.

here are 3 from opening day.  Mines a pretty good deer for the area and the others are average.

BTW, add the 38-55 and 45 Colt to my list of calibers used!   ;D

Hey Atlaw, I saw you in one of your avatar with a suit and tie. Just dawned on me you are a big shot lawyer that still has a wild side in you right. I get it now, I thought atlaw was slang for outlaw but your handle means Atlanta LAW right ? Kind of like the show LA. Law. I get it now.

I have to add my F350 to my deer slaying weapons since last week.

Hey Atllaw, get ya a 92 in that chambering and you can shoot sum full grown deer with it! ;) Didn't use mine last year, but it will handle sum pretty stout hand loads, unlike the toggle link gunz.

BTW, a doe I took last winter was over 200 lbs.......skinned and gutted!!! :o
