We've been getting pretty good amounts of rain the last 2 or 3 weeks ( its sprinkling now) and everything is still nice and green. Around here (southern Ohio) at this time of year things are usually turning brown from lack of rain, but this year it looks like its june instead of august. Took the family up north (125 miles) for a family reunion last weekend and they were more on par with what august usually is. Things are still green there, but you can see the colors starting to fade a lot more. I guess they are a couple of inches short of where we are in the rain fall. The river isn't low, but my pond is, but I think that has a lot more to do with the fact that the dam has way to many trees growing on it and some water is lost because of seepage. Worm

I think we are finally catching up on the rain, infact it's raining right now. What sucks is all the crops are a week or two behind. That means lots of corn in my way come coon trapping time. I think next year I'm just going to bite the bullet and take my vacation a week or so later. The fur will be overall better, competions isn't that much any more where the high number easy coon will be gone. Most of all I'll be able to drive in way more places and cover more ground with crops off.

Here in WV we have gotten more rain this summer then the last two summers combined!   It seems like it rains every other day.   I have a good feeling about this season but I guess I won't know until it's here!
