Purple and Gold number 4. I'm not a huge football fan but I will have to watch our Vikes play the Packers this year.

It's hard to get excited about a guy who can't even pronounce his own last name.

There will be a lot of #4 jerseys burned in WI campfires this fall  :D

No big deal, he's the Vi-queens problem now. They'll be sick and tired of Lord Favor, diva QB, soon enough  :o

Farvre on the field will sell many, many more tickets. They now have a celebrity. Simple business sense.

HUMMMMM. Football seems to be in decline, with fans unhappy with the diva's, the convicts, the gansta's, and all of those wealthy folks.
I am in favor of two leagues with five/six teams each. Play each other twice and have a superbowl.
maybe the baseball and basketball teams will get the notice and follow suit.
Sports are too big.

If you really want to watch good football, watch high school. It's only the game, not four hours of beer commercials for every 15 minutes of play. I tried watching a football game once during the past 20 years, but gave up because it was too boring. There's no action, no continuity, nothing. I honestly cannot fathom how anyone can watch pro football.

I have to agree.  I've become pretty disillusioned with all pro sports. Seems to me most of them, players as well as management, are a bunch of over payed whiners and or idiots who beat their women and get involved in illegal activities like dog fighting or dope dealing when they already have more money than they know what to do with.  At least you know the high school kids are playing for the love of the sport not the $$$.

The Queens get a gift horse in Favre, and I'll bet they still can't sell out a home game. The only time the Queens sell out at home is when the Packers come to town and the Packer fans buy up all the tickets. :D

I say good for Brett Favre going to the Queens. If he feels he can still play, then more power to him. I don't care how many different team jerseys he wears, he'll always be a Packer in my eyes. Love that man. He's good for football and he's good for any community in which he belongs. Maybe he'll help clean up Murderapolis. ;)

Don't figure the Queens will go to the Super Bowl though. They'll still find a way to lose in the end, Favre or no Favre. Just look at their Super Bowl trophy case ;D

Skunk,

You are so right about all of this. I dont blame Brett for taking 12 mil. I dont blame the queens for wanting Brett to sell tickets and they will still lose every Superbowl opportunty, every time. ;D :D ;) :) ;D :D ;) :) ;D ;D ;D ;D

Skunk,
I admired him as a tough sob and a winning quarterback when he was a packer, but am not sure about having him here. If the queens do well, you cheeseheads will claim it was because of YOUR beloved #4

The vikes have spent a lot of money to get a winning team, although most of it was for defense, a decent QB was the last piece of the puzzle. I might actually watch a full game this year, between favruh and #69 tearin it up on defense!

Cheese,

Did you happen to watch the pre-season game against Cleveland last Saturday evening? Aaron Rodgers is looking really good. I'm thinking he's going to be something special.

Mirage,

Farve is indeed a gunslinging, tough, old SOB. He plays 150% every game. Don't get discourage though when he throws a few interceptions. It usually means that a string of TDs are on their way. You don't become the all time NFL leader in TDs without throwing a bunch of interceptions (he is also the NFL all time leader in interceptions). Don't forget about Adrian Peterson.
