I am bored so here is a short story

Several years ago I was getting ready for dove season.  My son at the time was probably 4 or 5 and he asked me, "if dove are God's bird of peace, why do you shoot them?"  I think my wife set him up and I answered "because they taste good".

Probably not the best answer, but I was a caught a little off guard with that question.

Ten days to go!!!!

When my kids were little one of their favorite things was to go dove hunting with Dad and run out and retreive down birds. We were usually the only ones shooting in the field so they were safe.
