Nix on the 270 extra barrel I listed earlier. Dick's had the Marlin XL7s on sale for not much more than a new synthetic handi in 270, so I got one. However, now I intend to get a spare 45/70 barrel instead. Add that one in.

OK, I'll add that one of my 2 handi 45-70's is a blued Synthetic the other is a 32" BC. I also have two marlins. A 1970's, M1895, a newer M1895G and a Browning HI-WALL 1895, all in 45-70. I also had a No1 in 45-70, but sold it as I didn't want to go overboard in one chambering!!

I have a number of like chambered firearms, but not one with as many as I do in the 45-70!

GrandpaMike, I left off the calibers in my original post. I have a 44 Mag and 444 Marlin complete guns and a 223 Remington and a 20 rifled slug barrel. I have another one but I can't remember what is and I think my son has it. He "borrowed" my 444 with the extra barrel and hasn't returned it yet; something to do with hunting season not over or something.
