Just picked up a H&R Buffalo Classic 45-70. My second H&R.

I just picked up a .223 the other day.
I haven't taken it to the range yet.
I will as soon as I get a scope on it.
Seems everytime I turn around I'm adding another.......doubt there's any help for me. :( ::) ;D

Well since the last time I posted in this thread I've picked up a 17 m2, 22 lr, 270, 30-30, and a 357.
Someone early in the thread had mentioned how addictive this things are.
My BC 45-70 is still my favorite, but all the others get range time also.

.410
45-70 BC
.223
17m2
22lr
270
30-30
357mag

Also:
 243
444

And I have a frame being fitted for another 357mag plus a 44mag.

So eleven and a spare barrel for me.
I need to find a better class of scroundrels to hang out around.... ::) ;D

I just acquired a 30-06 last weekend to add the the herd. :P :-\ :o ;D

Just added a 500 S&W barrel to the clan. Had the dies and brass already so why not? ::)

While looking for a 35 Rem barrel a 25-06 barrel fell in my lap, for $40 no less. ::)
Well the 500 S&W is gone via a swap. But I've added a 243, 30-30, and 450 Marlin barrel to the stack.

Just picked up my first one this week. H&R .223 w/ 24" heavy barrel and survivor thumb hole stock. First gun I ever shot was my dad's NEF 12 ga. Got the scope and DNZ mount ordered for it tonight. Hopefully this time next week I'll be breaking in the barrel!

I keep looking for Handi rifles, today I found a 30-30 in like new condition,
put some money down on it til I can go back and pick it up.  LOL

So let's see...
410, 20, 12, 223 and 30-30 almost in hand. No sense counting chickens 'for they hatch...so amost 5 and growing addiction.
Looking for those rarer models, want a .357 and I guess a 45-70 if I run across them. How do you guys stand the itch?

Well now I can officially add my lone CR-45LC to this list...while not my only rifle, it is my first H&R and I'll probably go broke from the price of 45 Colt ammo...this will be my excuse to enter the hobby of reloading which actually saves money :o
My Classic Carbine is a USED rifle shipped by Remington to the dealer to sell which seems odd and the label on the box bears this out.

Not really, it was probably a warranty return from a dealer, Remington owns H&R/Marlin, H&Rs are made in Remington's Ilion NY plant, have been since 2008.  ;)

It appears to be new and while cleaning I flushed out many machining bits from the extractor/cam section of the barrel.

Sounds normal to me, I've bought lots of new H&Rs as well as used, that would be par for the course, H&R test fires them and boxes em up, they don't even wipe the bore out.   ;)

I own 2 45-70's  for my personal use.  One in SS Ultra Hunter with 24" barrel which I replaced the Cinnamon Furniture with Camo Lamo Furniture, and One regular Handi with 22" barrel that I replaced the stock Pallet Wood furniture with Camo Lamo Thumbhole furniture.  I purchased two more 45-70's, One SS Ultra Hunter with 24" Barrel for my Daughter and One regular Hand's with 22" Barrel that I replaced the stock Pallet Wood furniture with Cinnamon Thumbhole furniture that came on my SS Ultra for my Son In Law.  For a grand total of 4 so far.
